How is it even possibly the beginning of June already, wasn’t it just March yesterday??? So you would think that because I don’t really have much going on because of this whole ya know situation, that I would have read a lot more than I actually did, but, I actually only read two books this entire month!!! I also have been spending a ton of time working on my three online classes, which I think is another reason that I haven’t been able to read as much.
Regretting You by Colleen Hoover
I liked this book a lot, it did take a few chapters to get into, but then after I got like maybe 4ish chapters in I seriously read it in two days! I got this book through my Kindle Unlimited subscription to listen through Audible and read on my Kindle.
So, it starts out about 16 years in the past, telling the story of four teenagers who are dating and then Morgan finds out that she’s pregnant…fast forward 16ish years and the four are newly reunited! The book flips back and forth from the Morgan’s perspective and her daughter Clara’s perspective. It tells a love story…with also a HUGE twist that changes the course of their lives forever. It’s not my typical murder-y thriller, but definitely a more thrilling romance story.
My Lovely Wife by Samantha Downing
This book was super interesting and I definitely would recommend it! It was so crazy and kept my attention the entire time. There were SO MANY TWISTS! It was told from the husband’s perspective which is definitely a new approach to a thriller than I have seen, which was pretty interesting. I thought that I had guessed one of the twists, and then things just went crazy, nothing I could have predicted!
